Snapchat refuza oferta de 3 miliarde din partea Facebook

Mobile messaging startup Snapchat rejected an acquisition offer from Facebook Inc that would have valued the company at $3 billion or more, according to a Wall Street Journal report on Wednesday.

The report of Facebook's interest in Snapchat comes a couple of weeks after Facebook, the world's No. 1 Internet social network, acknowledged that it was seeing a decline in daily use by young teenagers in the U.S., although it said overall use by teenagers was stable.

XBox One ArsTechnica review

The most notable thing about my hour-or-so hands-on demo was how little I actually used a handheld controller. Practically every feature described in this piece was activated by saying "Xbox" followed by a simple command. Yes, a similar feature is already available to anyone with a current-generation Kinect hooked up to their Xbox 360, but it's clear that voice controls are much more fully integrated into the Xbox One interface. 

Aside from voice, the most significant system-level feature enabled by the Kinect is the ability of the Xbox One to log a user in automatically based only on their visuals. The first time you set up the system, it takes you through a 30-second process where you log in to your Microsoft account. Kinect then builds a personal profile it will associate with that account based on facial recognition but also the camera's basic skeletal model of your body. This process forms a unique biometric ID that the Kinect uses to automatically identify a user, logging them in to Xbox Live and bringing up a personalized menu that includes their recent apps and favorite items.

 Sunt foarte încântat de LG Nexus 4. Este un telefon bun, solid, bine făcut și cu aspect de gamă business, iar autonomia este mai mare decât a altor modele de pe piață. Are câteva mici hibe care-l opresc din a fi considerat perfect, dar cu siguranță este un model foarte bun.

Cred ca este primul review facut de un blogger roman noului telefon Google Nexus 4.
Incepand cu  Nexus S si terminand cu aceasta noua versiune - eu raman un fan al gamei de telefoane dezvoltate de Google, iar pretul de 2.369 RON (pe MarketOnline momentan) il face si mai atractiv.

HTC 8X - Mircea Scarlatescu Review

HTC 8X sau alternativa la iOS si Android →

Daca folositi un telefon de ultima generatie pe Android sau un iPhone si aveti sute de aplicatii instalate, interesati-va intai daca nu cumva veti pierde ceva migrand atat de devreme pe Windows, dar nu scoateti optiunea din calcul, va va surprinde placut daca treceti de 1-2 zile de utilizare.
Daca ajungeti la primul smartphone sau daca folositi Android si iOS dar nu suteti fixati in aplicatiile acestora, atunci HTC 8X-ul va va place si in mod cert poate fi o alegere buna. De la aspectul frumos rau pana la viteza cu care se misca, telefonul se auto-recomanda ca un reprezentant de cinste al Windos phone-urilor….si nu stiu ce ma face sa cred ca daca voi “butona” acest telefon si peste un an… voi fi gasit atunci cam orice aplicatie imi doresc la o calitate la mult decat satisfacatoare.

Mircea Scarlatescu are un review foarte bun al noului telefon HTC 8X ce vine cu sistemul de operare Windows Phone 8.
Desi lipsa unei game variate de aplicatii poate fi este un mare dezavantaj cu care Microsoft se confrunta, pentru cei care s-au cam plictisit putin de aceleasi chestii de pe iOS sau Android si vor ceva nou, cred ca WP8 si un telefon cum este HTC 8X (si restul care vor urma - poate mult mai bune) poate fi o optiune demna de luat in calcul.

iPad Mini: Alex Brie review

About my iPad Mini → 

The iPad mini is the best looking one, the lightest and the cutest. People tell you it’s light but you really can’t imagine how light it is until you hold it.  308 grams, almost double of the Kindle or the iPhone, but because it’s so slim and with a larger surface it feels considerably lighter. Mine is the white model, which makes it feel even more weightless.

The form factor is great. I loved the comfort of holding the Playbook in one hand, and the Mini takes this to the next level. First of all, because Mini feels, like I said, weightless. Then, because Mini is almost entirely screen – the slim slide bezels make it more immersive – it doesn’t feel like holding a Tablet, the way I did with the Playbook, but rather like a Kindle – you get immersed in the content, instead of feeling the object around it.
